Harris & Harris were commissioned in 2023 by Blenheim Palace to provide a full bespoke furniture and joinery package as part of the renovation of The Orangery; a 300-year-old, Grade 1 Listed restaurant and event space.
The studio worked alongside Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, interior designer and eldest daughter of the 11th Duke of Marlborough, whose family home was at Blenheim Palace.
Harris & Harris designed, developed and produced a bespoke woven rattan & upholstered seating package comprising dining chairs, lounge chairs and sofas. These sat alongside custom wood dining, coffee and bar tables.
Lastly the studio designed and produced a specialist joinery package consisting of host station, waiter stations and a full commercial fitted bar, featuring a fluted detail across the wood facades with brass detailing, antiqued mirrors and green granite worktops.
The project was delivered between 2023 and 2024 and since reopening The Orangery has hosted private events, weddings and its famous afternoon tea to the visitors of this world-class attraction and designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
