Interiors Harris & Harris in collaboration with Bryan Graybill
Completion 2016
This beach front 'party pad' within the Foster & Partners designed Faena House was designed for the property developer Bryan Graybill and his partner. Harris & Harris were commissioned to create a spectacular entertaining space for the couple's friends and family, as well as providing a retreat of escapism.
The concept was influenced by the glamorous interiors of the 1970s, the project became an exercise in creating a fun and casual space which is also carefully refined and understated.
With a cleverly designed layout by the architect, the emphasis was on the design of bespoke furniture, lighting, wall finishes and window treatments that would sit alongside vintage pieces and artwork from the client's collection. Key bespoke designs include a multi-functional daybed & dining banquette with rotating circular bar, a resplendent Ubald Klug inspired master bed, a copper & hand-applied plaster chandelier as well as pieces from the Harris & Harris collection upholstered in Hermes, Dedar and Holly Hunt fabrics.
The project was selected as a cover feature of Architectural Digest magazine in 2017.

“Truly gifted designers! I worked with H&H on a completely bespoke home in Miami Beach. What I found so refreshing is the studio's ability to collaborate. For some pieces, they took direction and executed precisely on details; other pieces were H&H original ideas. Very, very generous designers who value the end product more than ego.”
